Columbus theatre celebrates Christmas

If you find Christmas stressful, imagine being a fire-breathing dragon, accidentally setting fires whenever you try to shop. So it goes for Darcy the dragon, the subject of a beloved song by Roger Whittaker.

The friendly creature will be paying a visit, along with some other friends, to the Village of Columbus this weekend, where the Tumbleweed Theater will present “A Country Christmas.”

THE SHOW IS A COLLABORATIVE PRODUCTION

The variety show is a collaborative production by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Luna County Performing Artists, featuring Bud and Jeane Canfield, July McClure, Dev Olliver, and Anne Reedy.

The bill includes music, comedy, and drama on the theme of Christmas.

There will be shows Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, and food will be served prior to the performances. Reservations are mandatory, as space is tight at the Tumbleweed, located on Broadway in the heart of the village.
